Hip Hop was given center stage for a series of youth orientated shows at the Murphy hill Gallery. Three of my “All Stars” collages were displayed in this third show, Kilombos. Imagine my surprise when one of the poets whose poems I had included in one of the pieces happened to be at the event! Coincidence or fate? I’ll let you decide.
Other artists included Statik, Fact and Raven to name a few. The show also contained youth art provided by students from North Lawndale College Prep.
